I read a quote today I just had to pass on to the rest of you....but not before I read it over and over. While reading I had to think back over the past year of riding with the 4:50 club. How lucky am I to be able to get up early in the morning and join up with others who enjoy just getting out and riding.
Some days are darn early, cold, rainy or hot but I can't remember one in which I did not laugh about something during the ride. Even the day at Bobcat after a late night party was worth every nauseous moment.
Sure 4:50 comes mighty early but would you rather be dreaming about riding or getting out and creating stories and memories some only dream about. Enjoy....

Man, I can't stop coming back and reading Steve's words. So many people question me why I would want to get up at o'dark thirty and ride and I answer that is the only thing that keeps me going thru day, smiling and laughing to myself at that mornings antics and dreaming about tomorrows ride.
The 4:50 group is the shizzle! Hope to drag some more FIFO riders up for a 4:50 ride in 2009.

despite the challenging part of going to bed early and obey the alarm clock, it is rare that i don't feel super energized after riding so early... the day opens up via the big door ... we're welcoming the sun at the horizon most every morning. I wish we could share it in better ways to the rest of the world but the best way is probably to come up with the 4:50 club...
